Additional Information:
  • Single template (See above for version info)
  • Installation by end-user or administrator with installation/deployment wizard.
  • Seamless integration of the user's mail file, personal journal (up to 3) and external databases (up to 5).
  • Integrates 3rd party applications into Notes: (GyroQ, ActiveWords, Act for Notes, Skype and more...)
  • Respects standard mail, calendar, and task fields: it is compatible with third party applications and mobile devices (e.g. BlackBerry).
  • Doesn’t get in the way; in fact, everything is optional and all behavior is dynamically controlled by preference settings or user’s choice of profile.
  • Can be easily removed by replacing the design; all data remains intact.

System Performance
eProductivity will work with versions 6, 7, and 8 of Lotus Notes. Users will experience significant speed improvements when smaller mail files are accessed locally; however, eProductivity will work with mail files of any size, on a local computer or a remote server. We encourage users to make use of the Lotus Notes Archiving and the eProductivity Reference database to move nonactionable information out of the mail database. This will help reduce the mail file size and speed up performance. We also encourage use of the latest versions of eproductivity as the software is continuously being optimized to improve performance. As with any Lotus Notes application, overall performance will depend on many factors, including the speed of the computer, size and number of documents in the mail file and whether or not the mail file is local or remote.

Support for Lotus Domino, POP3, and IMAP
eProductivity for IBM Lotus Notes will work with a connection to a Lotus Domino Server, a POP3 server, or both. The IMAP protocol is not supported at this time.

Stand-alone operation: (without replacing mail file design)
To achieve maximum integration with Lotus Notes, eProductivity was designed as a mail file replacement. If replacing the design of your mail file with eProductivity is not an option for you, it is possible to run eProductivity as a stand-alone database. When eProductivity is used as a stand-alone application, no changes to the mail file are necessary, however, some functions of eProductivity (e.g. drag and drop from email to calendar or projects & actions) will not be available.
